The Free Dog With Every Home Sold program began as a simple idea: every time I help someone buy or sell a home in the Greater Charlotte area, a rescue dog or cat gets a second chance at one too. When I first opened my Brokerage, I wanted every closing to mean more than keys changing hands. My Samoyed, Loki, reminds me daily what “home” truly feels like, a safe, joyful space that is full of unconditional love. That inspiration became the heart of my business.

The result was Free Dog With Every Home Sold, a program that helps both pets and people find homes. Every time a Client buys or sells a home through me, a portion of my commission goes toward sponsoring a dog’s adoption fee at a local rescue. It’s not a marketing idea. It’s a mission. Because every home we sell should change two lives.

From Rescue Roots to Legacy

Loki is my first purebred dog, but my story has always started with rescues. My first Samoyed, Rebel, shared 16 ½ wonderful years with me and taught me that a soulmate can come on four paws. Then came Indy, a Border Collie / Golden Retriever / Samoyed mix who was part courage, part compassion. Indy helped raise Loki, passing along all his love and gentleness.

That lineage, with Rebel’s strong loving connection, Indy’s empathy, and Loki’s joy is what shaped Free Dog With Every Home Sold. It’s proof that the bond we share with dogs (and cats too) can inspire real change far beyond our own homes.

How the Free Dog With Every Home Sold Program Helps

Each time a closing happens, I donate to cover the adoption fee for a local shelter dog. Sometimes the family who just bought their home is inspired to begin the adoption process, working directly with one of our trusted rescue partners to find the right match. Other times, the sponsored adoption happens quietly behind the scenes, with a dog finding a forever home thanks to the donation from that sale.
