Loki, a Samoyed born in 2021, has become the heart and soul of the Homes by Kathy Smith brand. As our official mascot and the inspiration behind our logo and community outreach, Loki represents the values that define our brokerage: loyalty, trust, and genuine care. His calm confidence and friendly spirit reflect how we approach real estate: with integrity, clear communication, and an unwavering commitment to our Clients.

Loki’s Story

Loki is a purebred Samoyed, a breed often celebrated for intelligence, loyalty, and the famous Sammy smile. Loki quickly proved he was more than just a beautiful face. He is a true working partner who connects with everyone he meets.

Loki was raised by Indy, a Border Collie/Golden Retriever/Samoyed mix who was rescued from a kill shelter in Mississippi by the St. Louis Samoyed Rescue. Indy taught him empathy, patience, and trust, the kind of lessons only a dog who has known both hardship and love can give. Loki carries that compassion within him every day, blending the kindness Indy modeled with his own quiet, yet fearless spirit. We ensure that Indy's legacy lives on in every Client celebration and pet we help.

Whether he is greeting Clients, training for a title, or celebrating a family’s closing day, Loki brings joy to every experience. He is also working toward becoming an AKC Conformation Champion while continuing to earn performance titles in obedience, rally, herding, and agility.

How Loki Inspired the Free Dog Program

The Free Dog With Every Home Sold program honors the happiness Loki brings into Kathy's life by helping other pets find homes of their own. We want to ensure that as many people as possible can experience this happiness by keeping the cost of adoption from becoming a barrier. For every home sold, we contribute toward adoption fees, training assistance, or rescue partnerships across the Carolinas.
